1. What this policy covers
This policy covers XAPK Installer, the Android app developed under the OpenPack name (package identifier app.openpack.installer), and this product website.
The current app has no internet permission, account system, advertising SDK or analytics SDK. It does not send your installation packages, installed-app list or usage records to the developer’s servers. It does access and process information locally to provide the features described below.
2. Information processed on your device
- Selected files and folders: package contents, names, locations, sizes and modification dates, used to find, inspect and prepare installation packages.
- App information: visible installed apps, package names, versions, icons and accessible APK files, used for the app list, details, export and sharing.
- Device compatibility: Android version, supported processor architectures and relevant device manufacturer information, used for package checks and installation guidance.
- Local settings and task state: language choice, folder grants, list metadata and installation status, used to restore the interface and display results.
When you tap a copy action, the requested package name or app information is written to the Android clipboard. Clipboard access and retention are controlled by Android and your device settings.
3. Why permissions are requested
Install unknown apps: allows the app to request installation of a package you choose. Android manages the installation and its confirmation.
All files access, where supported and granted: supports discovery of packages in common shared-storage folders and applicable file operations, including attempts to place OBB files. This permission does not remove Android’s restrictions on protected directories.
Read storage on Android 10 and earlier: supports access to package files in shared storage. On other supported versions, access follows the available Android storage mechanisms.
System file and folder selection: gives the app access to locations you select. You can revoke permissions through Android settings or remove scanning folders in the app.
5. Storage, retention and deletion
Settings, task information and cached metadata are stored in the app’s private storage. Package preparation and sharing can create temporary local files. Cleanup runs as part of applicable task and cache flows; some files may remain until later cleanup or until you clear the app’s storage.
You can clear the app’s cache or storage in Android settings. Uninstalling removes app-private data, subject to Android’s behavior. Source packages, exported packages, saved icons and OBB files written to shared storage are not automatically removed when you uninstall; manage those files yourself with your file manager.
There is no app account to delete and no developer-hosted copy of your package library. Keep your own copies of files you need before deleting them.
6. Visiting this website
This site does not include analytics scripts, advertising, third-party fonts, tracking cookies or a contact form. Like other websites, serving these pages requires the hosting provider to receive connection information such as your IP address and browser request. The host may retain operational or security logs under its own settings and policies.
7. Support and policy changes
If you voluntarily contact support, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request. Do not include passwords, payment information or private installation files. Support correspondence is separate from the app’s local processing.
If future versions introduce advertising, online services or other data handling, this policy and applicable disclosures will be updated before those features are offered. The date above identifies this policy version.
